Role Summary

As a Nutanix Administrator, you will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Nutanix infrastructure, including hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) systems. You will provide technical support, implement new systems, and ensure the stability, availability, and performance of Nutanix environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and optimize Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Provide technical support for Nutanix environments by troubleshooting hardware, software, and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Nutanix clusters, virtual machines, storage resources, and associated platform components.
  • Monitor system health, perform preventive maintenance, and proactively resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze system logs, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of experience in system administration with hands-on expertise in Nutanix environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Nutanix technologies, including Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) and Prism.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Good understanding of Linux operating systems and enterprise infrastructure management.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience in incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Background

  • Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or equivalent Nutanix certification.
  • Certifications or experience in virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking, and hyper-converged infrastructure best practices.
  • Experience supporting production environments with high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
