Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Network Engineer to join our Organization. The ideal candidate will have
1-2 years of experience in networking, with a strong foundation in routing, switching, and security firewalls. Exposure to
public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus. The Junior Network Engineer will work closely with our senior
network team to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and
reliability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and project deployments.
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades and expansions to accommodate business growth and new technology initiatives.
- Assist with network security measures, including access controls, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in networking and cloud technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support for network-related emergencies.
- Provide AWS cloud support for components, including VPC configuration, subnetting, route tables and security groups, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of cloud-based resources.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in networking, with a focus on routing, switching, and security firewalls.
- Knowledge with public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or AWS Certification are preferred.
